ABOUT ME
I first became interested in the Middle East as an undergraduate student, earning a degree in Middle East Studies. Though a historian, I am also interested in the religions, literatures, anthropology, and politics of the region. I have traveled widely over the years, both studying Arabic and conducting research in archives, libraries, and research centers in Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, and Tunisia. Studying abroad is a keen interest of mine and I actively promote it for my students.
